About STIP
Students Technical In Politics (STIP) is a city council party in Delft. A party for the future, by the future. Our enthusiastic technical councillors provide a fresh view of Delft. Because STIP is independent of a national or European political group, we find pragmatic new solutions. Solutions especially for Delft.
The party has 6 of the 39 seats in the city council. Since 1998, STIP has also had a place in the coalition. This makes STIP a stable, progressive voice in Delft politics. Currently Maaike Zwartis the alderman for STIP, with the portfolios of Economy, Work and Income and sustainability.
Vision
The climate, the housing market and the economy require new ideas. Ideas from Delft. That is why STIP is committed to the strength of Delft: Technology. New techniques are speeding up the transition to a sustainable city. With new houses, we are building a suitable home for everyone. New solutions are the job engine of Delft's economy.
By giving initiatives and creative people room, we ensure that there is always something to do in the city. To get to those cosy and atmospheric places in the city, you obviously take the bicycle. The means of transport we give more room to encourage sustainable and space-efficient movement. Choose smart, cosy and sustainable. STIP makes the future!
